Trade Fair, Live Fair launched in 2017, is a three-year project funded by the European Union (EU) that brings together 21 organizations, including Fairtrade International, in the fair trade and ethical fashion movements across Europe to mobilize European citizens to drive changes towards achieving sustainable consumption and production (in line with Sustainable Development Goal 12). The project ultimately aims to promote more resilient livelihoods for farmers and workers, especially in the global South.

In 2018, independent consulting firm Global CAD conducted a baseline study examining consumer and policy maker perspectives on sustainability consumption and production issues.

The study report is presented in two parts, one focused on consumer attitudes and the other focused on European Union decision maker views on priorities for and barriers to achieving SDG12.
