2022 Annual Report
Published: 21 Jun 2023
In a changing world, farmers, workers, companies, governments, and citizens all must adapt.
From new legislation in Europe that aims to better protect human rights and the environment, to farming practices that build resilience in the face of climate change, to diversifying into new products and growing in new markets, to taking better advantage of technology -- Fairtrade stands with more than two million farmers and workers to navigate today's changes and find fairer solutions.
"2022 saw significant progress on human rights, climate action, sustainable agriculture, and power to farmers and workers, all key pillars of our global strategy. (...) This report highlights many successes, but we have a long way to go and we cannot do it alone. We would like to recognise and thank our commercial and development partners for their continuing strong support. Fairtrade is everyone’s responsibility."
-- Sandra Uwera Murasa, Global CEO & Melissa Duncan, Executive Director of Fairtrade International, from the report's Foreword
